New Event Support Tag

Hello WeeUsables Consignors 💙💚

First of all, WEE want to thank you!

Because of you, we had an incredible spring ‘26 sale season! Thousands of your gently-used items found new homes and even your unsold donations continued to support local families in need. We strive to leave a positive impact on the communities we serve and we are incredibly grateful you chose to be a part of our mission.

As we head into the next consignment season, we want to share an important update.

✨ NEW Event Support Tags

For the fall ‘26 sale season, you’ll notice an update to our price tags. The new layout is designed to improve the shopping experience and increase our sale’s sustainability for the future.

🚨 RETURNING CONSIGNORS - HERE’S THE QUICK & EASY VERSION!

✅ Recommended Option (Best Experience)

  • Transfer your old inventory into your Fall ‘26 sale account
  • Make any edits or updates to your transferred inventory and add any new inventory
  • Print all tags for both your transferred inventory and any newly added inventory using the updated system
  • Tag new items and replace old tags on transferred items with the newly printed versions

That’s it! 🎉
(Please Note: MyCM will automatically convert your transferred inventory into the new tag format — you do NOT need to re-enter old inventory.)

What’s new about the tags:

  •     Tags will be printed horizontally, making them easier to read
  •     We’ve included more space for descriptions, so matching up lost tags will be easier
  •     Each tag will have a small Event Support amount added to the entered price ($0.50)
  •     WeeUsables does not use the MyCM “Donate” option, therefore it will no longer be printed on the tag

How the new tagging process works:

  •     Price your item like you always have
  •     The tag will print with an additional $0.50 added to your chosen price
  •     Shoppers will pay the printed price which includes the $0.50 Event Support amount (or discounted Event Support amount, if applicable)
  •     You continue to earn your same percentage of the original price you chose
  •     The added Event Support amount adjusts with discounts

Event Support Tag Example:

You price an item at $4.00 → tag prints at $4.50

If it sells at full price:

  •     Shopper pays: $4.50
  •     You earn your % of: $4.00
  •     Event Support amount: $0.50

If it sells at 50% off:

  •     Shopper pays: $2.25
  •     You earn your % of:  $2.00
  •     Event Support amount: $0.25

“BUT, WHAT ABOUT TRANSFERRING ALREADY-TAGGED ITEMS?” 👖👗👟

If you are transferring items from a previous sale, you’ll have two options:

Option 1: Reprint Your Tags

This is the best option so your tags match the updated system and scan with all the new updates at checkout.

Option 2: Keep Your Current Tags

If you prefer not to reprint, that’s okay! You’re welcome to use a mix of both the old tags and the new Event Support tags. However, for any old tags that do not include the built-in Event Support amount, a small tag discrepancy adjustment of $0.50 will be deducted from your earnings for each item with an old tag. Like the Event Support amount itself, this adjustment will reduce if the item is labeled as “discounted” and sells during the discounted portion of our sale week. This adjustment would only apply to old tags and accounts for the built-in Event Support amount found on the new tags. We recognize that reprinting/retagging is an extra step so we wanted to provide flexibility while also being transparent about how older tags will be processed.

Old Tag Example:

The tag has an item priced at $4.00

If it sells at full price:

  •     Shopper pays: $4.00
  •     You earn your % of: $4.00
  •     Event Support amount: $0.50 is deducted off your earnings and the item is labeled as a “tag discrepancy” on your settlement.

If it sells at 50% off:

  •     Shopper pays: $2.00
  •     You earn your % of: $2.00
  •     Event Support amount: $0.25 is deducted off your earnings and the item is labeled as a “tag discrepancy” on your settlement.

⬇️ Lower Minimum Pricing

In an effort to account for the pricing updates, we have adjusted our pricing minimums:

  •     All items except books can be priced as low as $2.50 (down from $3.00 previously)
  •     Books can be priced as low as $1.50 (down from $2.00 previously)

Lowering the minimum pricing helps maintain that “great deal” feeling shoppers love while still allowing a strong sell-through for consignors.

💬 Why are Tags Changing?

The cost of facilitating live events has risen exponentially in recent years. From necessary software updates to staffing and venue expenses, WeeUsables has been seeing an unsustainable upward trend of operating costs with each and every sale. In fact, venue rentals alone totaled over $175,000 last year and have increased by 25% in the last four years.

As the consignment industry evolves, many pop-up resale events across the nation are beginning to move toward built-in event support models similar to what online resale platforms have used for years. This approach helps events continue operating sustainably while protecting consignor payouts.

For WeeUsables, this is not intended to be a temporary or one-season change. This update is an important part of helping ensure the long-term sustainability and future of our events so we can continue to serve families in our community for years to come. 💙💚

This added Event Support allows us to:

  •     Keep consignor percentages/payouts as they currently are
  •     Continue investing in staffing, technology, and ways to reach more shoppers
  •     Maintain the high-quality events our consigning families AND our customers have come to expect

Our goal is to protect what matters most to you while keeping up with the ever-changing live event resale industry.

We are excited for another amazing season and are truly grateful you’re part of this community. We look forward to partnering with you for many years to come!
